About this painting: 

This large-format painting was created during one of the hottest summers I’ve ever experienced – painted in a near trance, in the heat of 40°C, shortly after moving into my new home in Spain. The work tells a silent, archetypal fairytale about strength, love, presence, and balance.

The deer – majestic, elusive, and commanding without force – meets a woman who stands with clarity and confidence, connected to him by nothing more than a string of pearls. The connection is not control, but choice.

This piece explores the quiet forms of power, both masculine and feminine, and how they can coexist – not through dominance, but through mutual respect and presence.

Este cuadro de gran formato fue creado durante uno de los veranos más calurosos que he vivido – pintado casi en trance, bajo un calor de 40 °C, poco después de mudarme a mi nueva casa en espana. La obra cuenta un cuento silencioso y arquetípico sobre la fuerza, el amor, la presencia y el equilibrio.

El ciervo – majestuoso, elusivo, dominante sin imponerse – se encuentra con una mujer que irradia claridad y seguridad, unida a él únicamente por un collar de perlas. Esa conexión no representa control, sino elección.

Esta obra explora formas silenciosas de poder – tanto masculinas como femeninas – y cómo pueden convivir no a través del dominio, sino del respeto mutuo y la presencia compartida.
